Thread: Powerful mantra - would it work?

Hi, some of the techniques and tips to do with attaining lucidity seem so amazingly simple but effective such as counting fingers etc. I have still not got a regular mantra for my MILD attempts as I keep chopping and changing.

About 80% of my dreams will contain a woman, not the same woman but a woman in general as part of my dream character population. What about a MILD mantra as follows .... 'The next time I see a woman I will realize im dreaming'

To me that sounds really logical (providing i spend daytime improving my prospective memory) but am I missing something? Ive not seen any MILD mantras as simple as this before so is it flawed in a way that I am missing?

I would not really consider 'a woman' a dream sign as its so general and universal and so dont feel i would need to reality check during the day each time i see a woman

What do you guys think?

Hey Ezzo,

With the MILD technique, you can construct and use any mantra that you believe would work. It would surely be worth a try using that mantra, but you should also look for a more personalized, and less abundant dream sign that frequents your dreams. If it was a particular woman that kept appearing, or a certain accessory that always seemed to be worn by a woman in your dreams, then I believe your mantra would be more effective.

If you find that your mantra is not producing the results you want, I would suggest paging through your dream journal for a less common dream sign. Your mantra also does not have to be directed at one particular dream sign, you could construct it to address ALL of your dream signs, thus increasing the likely hood of recognizing one.

hello!ezzolucid,woman is not good dream sign,why?it is obvious,woman are part of every day,if you live in USA ,Europe,Asia or anywhere
else in the world woman are part of everyday life.I want to tell you that dream sign should be something that you see(notice)in your every
dream(maybe not every,but most of them),and something that you dont see everyday,or something that dont exist in real life(like a person).
but also try basic mild phrases (im dreaming,next time im dreaming i will look at my hands and realize im dreaming....)
in short:1.woman is not a good dream sign.2.dream sign should be something unique.3.try basic mild phrases.

As Mate said, you should probably use something more specific and unique for your dreams. Woman....haha that's more like ADA
