Almost WILD. What to do next.

Last night I attempted to WILD for the first time and made some good success. As I felt myself drift to sleep, I would do some math in my head to retain my attention and not lose my focus. After a good amount of time, I got into sleep paralysis and retained attention throughout. Once I was in it though, I did not know what to do next to actually get myself into the dream. I guess I was just waiting for the dream to create itself around me, but it didn't happen. Do I need to imagine myself in a place for the dream to form? Thanks.

I think you need to actually fall asleep. Try letting go from this point. You could also set an intention to become aware once you begin transitioning. Good luck.

I do not know if you are using WBTB. It is far harder to WILD when you first go to sleep. Try waking up after say 6 hours of sleep and then trying it. You do need to fall asleep, but also stay aware. You may have been doing this. If you are falling asleep, you should loose most awareness of your body. You may still feel it, but only distantly. If you get that far and it is after 6 hours sleep, it is still hit or miss. You should plan on this taking more than a few attempts to figure it out. Good luck. A dream will either form or it will not. Try to not stay focused on anthing that engages your mind (math is probably a terrible anchor in my opinion) as you need your body to be tricked into sleep. Thinking about anything too engaging keeps you awake. Instead, come up with some way to stay aware, but barely aware, such as repeating a phrase over and over.

Thanks for responding. Yes I did do the WBTB WILD, and it did occur about 6 hours after I went to bed. I'm sure I was asleep because I was in sleep paralysis for what felt like ten minutes but actually was about an hour. I was conscious the whole time throughout it. I just don't know how to get the dream to form.

It can be quiet simple to form a dream feom the point you're at, just imagine rolling out of your bed. If it happens easily without feeling much resistance from your sheets that means you're already inside a dream. Do know that your dream-bedroom may look extremely realistic do do an RC when you open you're there.
If you read this do a reality check, you will thank me later...

They don't always. Just keep trying. Your method sounds like it is working just give it time.
