My way of attaining lucidity (sort of)

My way of attaining lucidity i learned when i was about 8 years old while dreaming. What i did was while i was in the dream, i don't exactly remember what was happening at the time, i stopped and i closed my eyes tightly for a while and aftre opening them i saw nothing. i closed them again and again saw nothing. by now i was geting a little afraid that i had gone bling or something. i then closed my eyes for one more time and i was awake. i couldn't stop thinking about it the next day, so i tryed to do it the next night.

this time i tryed not to get so afraid because i knew what was going to happen. so again, during the dream i closed my eyes and i saw nothing, so i closed my eyes and thought of my self at school and i opened my eyes and there i was!! i had found a way to control my dreams!!

some of you may think because of me saying "i stopped and closed my eyes" that i had already attained lucidity, but for some reason in almost all of my dreams i have trouble seeing so i often close my eyes. now im guessing that most of you don't have trouble seeing in your dream so closing your eyes might not be the best choice. you might want to try something different like looking at your feet or (i know this might seem a little immature for some females but it has worked for me. and just so u know im a guy.) looking down your shirt. this will hopefully allow you to not think about your surroundings, as you cannot see them. other things may work that i have not mentioned.

also, it may difficult for some of you to attain lucidity after the first time trying it. keep on trying it and look at some of the other ways other people say they attain lucidity in this forum.

      ROFL

      that's great!

but seriously, I don't see anything offensive in this thread... it was a good observation like Curios said.

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.

thank you for your kindness. Also, I would like to add that all of the tips/tricks that the author of this site(im not sure of his name) really do work. especially the one that says to start spinning if your dream starts to get blurry. I was dreaming about runing toward a giant cake , do not ask me why I am still trying to figure it out, and the cake started to fade and I could tell I was going to be awakened soon. I just started to spin and the cake was as good as new!!
