Awareness as I see it, is kind of stepping away from your typical daily thoughts to notice what is around you in the present. Here's a good meditation that you can try which teaches awareness:

I do a MILD before bed every night, yes. I WBTB several times a night naturally, and so when I go back to bed I try the MILD again, or if I feel like it I try a WILD. Usually I reserve WILDs for when I don't have to wake up in the morning, because I don't like to lose sleep.
And three things you can do daily/weekly: Keep RCing throughout the day. Try your hand at MILD (cause I use a visualization type of MILD and it works great). If you're interested in awareness do some research on meditation and do a short meditation at least once a week to work on awareness.
