Unhappy Help me break my dry spell?

Hey guys, first time posting here but I am really having trouble lately lucid dreaming. I have only had a total of 5 lucid dreams in the span of 7 months and I am happy with being able to even have one because I know a lot of people that haven't experienced one before but I would really like to lucid dream more. I am on winter break now so I have been trying to WILD every night but I just can't get myself into sleep paralysis without falling asleep entirely. Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry for all the text, but i hope it helps, and im no expert, however

Heres what you need to do, first off, stop WILDing, as you can probably tell, its very frustrating and hard to work with, and its o.k, i went through it to. Is your dream recall good, or do you have a dream journal? If you do, keep doing it, because it will help. I know im probably different then you, but you know that really long dream right before you wake up? when you actually wake up, keep your eyes closed and dont move, just chill, maby tell yourself "I will realize im dreaming" a couple of times. I started doing this the morning of New Years Eve, and got 2 lucids chained, Did it today and got 2 more, after about a month of hard trying and no effort. This was only after i resolved to pay attention to what works for me, and, it worked. So try the morning thing, otherwise known as a DEILD, at first. You need good recall or you'll end up only remembering the last dreams in your chain. Good Luck, and Welcome to DreamViews.
If this doesn't work im hittin that ghetto Vtec, you know,....if it starts.

Really? Yeah I've been keeping a log of my dreams this entire time. Last night I actually had 4 dreams which I remembered most of it with a few things still blurry but my recall usually is fairly good. I will try this though, my only problem is that I liked the idea of WILD just because I have to get up to go to the washroom a lot and usually at around 3-4 in the morning so I am usually awake regardless. But if I do try this DEILD I'm not sure if I will be able to only because the reason I wake up is because I really have to use the washroom. My thoughts are that me having to use the washroom will overpower me actually staying still with my eyes closed. Although there was the odd time where I would wake up but fall right back asleep and my dreams were very vivid so I'll have to try this for sure. Thanks for replying!

If you like WILD and want to stick with it, that's perfectly okay then. If you're doing it correctly, then you should keep at it and not switch to a new method, unless you know you are going to stick to the new method. People don't suggest WILD for beginners because they are too excited and don't read the extra details, and try to do it every night, but they do it incorrectly (experience). I would keep reading up on it to make sure you are doing it entirely correctly. WILD is a very tedious way to get in a lucid dream in my opinion, but they have the best results. The few times I did WILD, they were some of the most vivid lucid dreams I had ever had.
