Hello All, |

Hello All, |
Thumb/palm is probably my second most used RC. |
In my dreams, I slowly push my finger towards my hand and tell myself it'll go through. My brain just shoots the finger through my hand, which is pretty surprising for me. |
I put my hand through my palm only once. I felt my hand one second and the next second it was just going through air. Like my other hand was just in a different place. It was too dark for me to see anything. |
My reality checks don't often work, but when I perform them I still somehow realise it is a dream. Once I tried the finger-through palm one when I was already lucid, to double check. I didn't feel anything, but I did take a look and my palm was rippling, like water. It looked pretty awesome. |
Lucid goals:
Meet my Dream Guide [], Jump off a cliff and survive [], Climb a building [X], Perform an air assassination [], Fly [X], Eat [X].
I don't always perform reality checks, but when I do... I prefer just looking at my hands. |
Very interesting to read all the feedback.....! it s funny to see how the same action creates a lot of different feeling for each person! |
I learned my stuff before the internet or many of the books, so oddly I had never heard of this RC. I have never preformed the finger through the palm RC! Nothing against it, but I had never heard of it. My RCs are mostly mental awareness checks, like Brandon says, looking at my hands is an example. |
I have become lucid 2 times by pushing my finger through my palm, but i never looked at my hands directly. |
This is one of my most trusted RCs right next to the nose plug RC! |

Your description is actually a lot how I feel whenever I try to finger though palm. I do not use it often though. My favorite reality check is the 'nose plug' one. Where you plug your nose and try to breathe through it. I find it to be more reliable. I'm glad the finger through palm check is working for you though. I know exactly what you're talking about! |
Mancon, I agree with you! The nose-plug RC is more reliable but I think the finger and palm RC is more fun to do IMO. Plus I can do the finger/palm RC in public hahaha! |

Hey I m glad to see others got the same buzzing feeling I get with this RC. I actually like very much the feeling of the dissociating molecules |
Little off topic, but the RC that have never failed me is the classic "looking at hands and counting fingers" RC. Although my hands now look human, there is always an extra finger or two. |
I had always thought that the RC was just look at hands until I came here. I never count my fingers, I just look at my hands and there is always something wrong with them. I will have a few fingers way too short, at weird angles, or there is a huge plastic fork taped to my hand. It is actually my most reliable RC. I have used it for all of my LDs except two. |
I think talking about this helped my actually...I just had my fourth LD dream last night and since the hand thru palm this time was not that convincing I tried the nose plug for the first time and it worked |
Glad that the nose-plug RC worked! Congrats on your 4th LD |
