Welcome!
To learn is to read to fully know and understand is to experience. So read about some different techniques (DILD and WILD) and methods and then gather your own knowledge by practising and experiencing. You can't learn to play soccer by reading about it in a book, but you can both learn, know and understand by practising it yourself.
It's the same for lucid dreaming, you can't just read about some method and suddenly know everything about lucid dreaming, no matter how accurate and detailed the method may be.
You can only learn by doing, so keep practising and research the matter yourself. Ask yourself exactly what kind of induction you want do you want to know how you:
A. Just go to sleep and then wake up in the dream. (DILD)
or
B. Start dreaming immediatelly at bedtime and begin the experience right away. (WILD)
It is of course not this simple at first, both techniques or ways to go have their problems. DILD inductions feels a bit out of your control, however WILD feels too much in your control it and can feel to advanced. But your task as an oneironaut is to learn how you master each technique by learning from your experiences.
I have find my way to understand these two ways, but every individual is different so it's not guaranteed to be the way you will have to do it.
Which is why lucid dreaming can't be understood by reading, you'll learn it by doing. I can't stress this enough and it seems obvious, however so many people forget this, and I also do at times.
But this is what the forum is for, to remind us and help us find our path, to share our experiences and to get motivated and inspired by them.
So if you need help I can help you get on the right track but you are the one that has to do the work.
I can only open doors I can not drag you through them ^-^
Namaste.
