You will lucid dream. Everyone does.

Being able to do it on demand however, that takes patience and practice

Hmm think through what you can do better. For example do you get to bed too late? Try to go bed early one night and see if your recall is better and see if you are more aware of your dreams.
In my dream journal you can see some recalled dreams that take up a whole page, and on some entries you can only see one sentence, it's mainly because of my bedtimes.

I go to bed at like 2am, sometimes later than that
Penny: So what do you say Sheldon, are we your X-men?
Sheldon: No, the X-men were named for the X in Charles Xavier. Since I am Sheldon Cooper, you will be, my C-men.

Hmm ok you can try it anyway and see. But my optimal bedtime is 21:00 the more time that goes after this is making my dream recall and awareness drop, and if I go to bed after 24:00 I know that I wont remember anything at all at least very little. So try adjusting your sleep a little and see if it helps.

I am trying OBE but when I feel like my body is falling asleep.. I get the nastiest body signal - I sneeze
Every time I try sleep paralysis and get almost to the end my body acts like a deutsche bag and ruins it all. Can you help me with some technique for better relaxation and weaker body signals?

That one was new, sneezing really? If you need help with relaxation I would recommend trying different guided meditations that teaches you exercises you can do to make your mind stop focusing on your physical body, I usually do The Gateway Experience by Robert Monroe, but you can try anything.

But are you sure that don't have a cold or something? Because sneezing while relaxing seems very rare I mean you do sleep right? Try this peaceful meditation and see if you still sneeze:
      My Guided Visualization - YouTube

Other than that you can try the DEILD technique if traditional WILD is to advanced for you, and especially if you sneeze Good luck!

If you are completely new to lucid dreaming I would recommend to try the basic methods first. Here is the best beginner guide I know:

Thank you! I'm surely going to try and hopefully relax enough.

"That one was new, sneezing really?" Well it's not only sneezing. I get itchy but I ignore them. The culmination is sneezing. The thing that ruins everything.

Yeah I get itches too... Last night it even felt like my head was going to burn up, so you need to endure a lot But what made me give up was that my neck got soar by laying still for so long.
Hmm I am not sure how to help you with the sneezing, but I am sure it's just like any other obstacle, like swallowing saliva, coughing etc. If you fall asleep normally after you sneeze you could go for a DILD or MILD as well, be flexible = )

If you're having bad recall, go to bed earlier and use a good mantra. I used to never be able to recall my dreams until I stopped going to bed at 2am and started at 11pm. I also used a mantra that boosted my recall.

Face your obstacles and then overcome them or as Yoda would say: “Named must your fear be before banish it you can.”

I am actually making a full story to all my valuable experiences to both help beginners, but also some fellow WILDer. So don't miss that

Yo guys I'm going to try right now! I'm sure that I will reach full relaxation. I'll endure all itches, sneezes, saliva and stuff. I'll write you in a few hours...

That's what I have told myself for a long time... There is always something, although I have ended up having two WILD's before bed so the persistence pay off. GOOD LUCK!

I think from what Iapatos and some of the other posters have said about trying an earlier bedtime would help in your case, after all there is no harm in trying that, and seeing how you get on.
Also from your stat box (below your avatar) then you are quite close in acheiving an LD. Milliecake sums things up quite well in her post.
Good luck - it will come

Well I failed but I think I was close. I even wonder how the hours passed so quickly. After 30 minutes I started feeling funky and felt like floating but I kept my eyes shut and honestly I freaked out
When I thought of getting up I felt like I wasn't myself. I mean.. my whole left arm and a part of my back were almost numb. I couldn't lift my arm high. This is my second night I've been trying. I hope I do better each night!

Ok Soooo..I had several dreams last night. Can you feel pain while Lucid? Because I didn't and I think I wasn't aware enough or anything?
I wrote it down. I'll do so with all of my upcoming dreams. If I remember good there was a topic that said if you write them you'll have better dream recall. Well I remember pretty much everything and I feel good. Thanks to all of you again for your help!

Yupp write the dreams down, but also daydream a bit while going to sleep and exercise your neurological contact and that will make your dreams more vivid and you more aware which makes them easier to remember. Look at my dream journal, even though I have practiced lucid dreaming for four years you can still see that my dream recall have escalated since I begun dream journaling again.
I even reached my peak of recalled dreams this morning.

And keep a piece of paper by your bed, and if you wake up during the night, write down keywords that will help you remember later on when you are going to write it down in your dream journal. If I just recall it upon awakening in the morning I wouldn't remember as much as I do now.

Good luck! Normal dreams are just as fun as lucid dreams, sometimes...

Been tryin like a mofo for 2 months and ive had 3 lds, 2 in the past week 1/2. I used to have LD on the regular as a kid but its been a huge struggle coming back.

Biggest Thing: Being able to feel like you will...strengthen that power of intention...

      Don't stress my friend.
      This may damage things.
      Now, listen to me.
You are going to do this.
      YOU CAN.
      AND YOU WILL.
You have the ability to Lucid Dream,
just like me, and everyone else.
      Now,
You should go to other techniques when the one you are using is going bad.
I am currently using DEILD, And it's successful.

      http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/dutchr...ld-god-134760/

      This is a good guide.
      But furthermore,
      A few words,
      Believe in yourself.
      I believe in you.

Ehm I have been practicing for 4 years, not really counting them because when I do it makes the lucidity seem like a harder task than it actually is, and I then end up in a dry spell.
I have had MANY lucid moments, but only a few really long lasting lucid dreams (talking 40 minutes as long). I am still practicing to master the stabilization stage so I am far from a master when it comes to lucid dreaming. But I have learned tricks that works for me to increase my chances of becoming more aware of my dreams, and I am trying to share them as often as I can to help others.
These tricks helps me increasing the chance of better recall and possibly a lucid moment.

But the first crucial step to get this process started is recall, so be interested in your non-lucid dreams as well, as you can see in my dream journal they are really fun as well.

I don't know why but I really like to write long TL;DR posts to get people motivated and educated I hope it helps someone. But sorry for yet another long post xD
