      Help? Can't remain lucid?

So, a couple times, I've tried sleeping about 2 hours after waking up, just a nap, and I repeat to myself that I will realize that I am dreaming. Usually, I am not trying VERY hard to get a lucid dream, I am mostly just anticipating it.

3 times, I've realized I was dreaming in a dream, but after I realize I'm dreaming, it's like... my body begins to wake up? Like every time I realize I'm dreaming, it feels like I have two bodies. I can feel my real body in the bed, but I can feel this dream body in the dream. Everything becomes dark and black, and I can't move, and then the dream partially returns, but I am unsure on whether it is a dream, or if I'm imagining it to be a dream, and then I usually wake up after 20 seconds, so I can't stay lucid.

Too describe it exactly, it feels like I ask myself am I dreaming? too late, it's like I realize I'm dreaming while I'm close to waking up. One time, I had a false awakening after this experience, and I knew I was still dreaming after waking up, because I could feel my real body still asleep, but I couldn't control anything, in fact, that thought never even came across my mind, I can't really control my thoughts in my dreams.

So, anyone tips on how I can keep lucid, or maybe another way? I'm trying the way where you set an alarm every hour and every time you hear it, you ask yourself if you're dreaming, and eventually, I'll hear it in the background of my dream and ask myself if I'm dreaming. I'm also trying DIELD, but I got scared once from sleep paralysis so I stopped. I can wake up and keep my body still and eyes closed. So any advice?

Don't be afraid of sleep paralysis. It's all in your mind, and it can never harm you. You said that you can wake up and keep your body still and eyes closed. For most people, that takes a considerable amount of practice, and if you can do that easily, then use it to your advantage!

As for the staying lucid, have you tried some stabilization techniques?

      Hope this helps. Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
