      Why the dry?

I am having a bit of a dry spell period.

Instead of once or twice a week, I LD about once a month or two, for several months now.

Nothing has changed in my motivation, dream journaling, reality checking, other habits, or external circumstance to justify this dry spell.

I am also NOT particularly interested in a technique recommended to break it (No WILD or similar technique has worked for me so far. I always LD when I spontaneously notice something does not make sense and/or after a successful reality check).

I AM interested in your personal experience with a dry spell. What do you recon has caused it and how did it eventually end?

I'm in a dry spell atm. I don't really understand them. Especially when you believe and have confidence...
:/ All I can say is be strong and keep going. Don't give up.

I also go through dry spells. Usually when I feel down about something, even if I don't acknowledge the problem, my subconsciousness knows it and hinders my LDing.

If I'm not down, what usually helps is to change the method I use.

Like I used to have LD almost every time when I did WBTB at night ( I had DILDs). Then they stopped, until I pushed WBTB to morning (giving me WILDs and DEILDs). Maybe body/mind get used to technique, so it's good to make it exciting again by changing the technique, Rc, time of attempt and such.

Usually my dry spells had something to deal with the stress around and basically because of my sleep cycle was constantly being interrupted or I didn't care to regularize it at all. I wasn't able to have just a single LD for months. I don't care too much anymore, when I have a LD I enjoy it whatever it lasts and then go on with my life once I woke up.

Dry spells happen. Don't sweat it.
