      i need some help

ive had several dreams were the RCs that i try just dont work, for example in my dream i remember trying to plug my nose to see if i could keep breathing but my breathing stopped so i knew(in my dream) that it was "real," although even before rcing i really thought that i was awake so when i tried the rc i was expecting it to fail, so idk if that was the problem or not. another case is in my dream i was in my bed in my room and i grabbed my phone next to me to see the time and it said 7:38, then i turned it off and back on and it had the same 7:38 so i figured i was awake and went to bed(inside of my dream), it was only when i woke up i realised i was at my grandparents house, so there was no way i could have been at my house. as far as personal dream signs go, all my dreams are different and epic and i cant find a dream sign that even pops up in more than one dream. the only successful lucids ive had is were in my dream i realised ive never been to a certain location and i realise im in a dream. anyways does anyone have any ideas of any non fail rcs?

It must be because you don't have full control of the lucid dream, or it was a normal dream and you instantly do a RC by instint (because you have been doin it in real life) but you don't realise that it succeeded

Your rc's fail because you expect them to, or they aren't thorough enough. I imagine your routine is something like - hmm.. time for an RC.. "Am I Dreaming?" (cant breathe..) "Nope."

So why wouldn't the exact same thing happen in your dream?? Think about it. Just because you are dreaming doesn't mean you will breathe through a blocked nose. Unless you TELL yourself, BELIEVE to yourself, that when you are dreaming you CAN and WILL breathe through your nose.

Change your affirmation when RC'ing to something more direct. "If I am dreaming I can breathe when i pinch my nose" / "If I am dreaming I will float... now!"

Because if you are actually dreaming, then you can do whatever you believe you can do. If you don't believe it, it will not manifest.

Doesn't hurt to do multiple RC's either.

My favorite RC is to jump. Dream gravity is very different from real world gravity.
