Question odd way of getting to sleep

ok so reacently i have been trying to achieve lucidity with no luck

Still i was thinking about how i get to sleep and that i dont know anyone else who does it like i do. Anyone else i ask says to not concentrate or focus or think ,but this dosen't seem to work for me at all.
Instead what i do is daydream in bead and slowly my subconcious takes over and it turns into a dream that is VERY unstable even the slightest jolt in the dream and i wake up from it still after 3 or so attempts my dream finishes and i drift into non-REM sleep.
Also i have to read a book before i go to sleep or i don't go to sleep. One time i was lying awake for 3 hours because i didnt read a book then read a book and was asleep in 5 mins

I never experiance sleep paralysis or hypognia or whatever it is called

EDIT: forgot to say that i usually start a story as a daydream ,but my sub-conscious finishes it

Does anyone else go to sleep like this and is there any way i could harness this and turn it into a WILD or a DILD or something
