im just getting back into DILDs and i have never tried a WBTB DILD but i was just thinking it might make it lots easier because you would be more aware when you were awake like 5 mins ago instead of an hour or more. |

Yep, WBTB gives you a better chance of getting lucid. When you wake up mid-sleep, you're stimulating your mind at a time when you are usually in REM. Once you go back to sleep, you dive right into REM, where vivid dreams occur the most. With your awareness, you have a greater chance to achieve lucidity once you are in the dream. |

REM as REM. Later on in sleep the REM stages are longer but it doesn't mean that it's more vivid. I have had dreams that felt super vivid and super long lasting in the first REM stage and some of them have been more vivid than later REM stage lucid dreams. So to summarize: WBTB DILD makes it easier to attain lucidity, but it doesn't mean it makes them more vivid. |

Nobody said that dreams are more vivid in later REM stages. |

WBTB does help, although you are not guaranteed as with any other system. WBTB is cool! |

Oh. I am not 100%, but from what I've read, dreams during the REM stage tend to be more vivid and they tend to be longer as well. I don't mean to misinform anyone, so if I did, I'm sorry |
