      Relaxation and Lucidity

I had previously posted about an incident where I did not attain lucidity inside a dream inspite of RC. The dream just turned black.

It happened for a second time today. And this time I was carefully analyzing what happened and this is what happened both the times:
The minute I do an RC in a dream, and I realize that it is a dream, I start getting excited. And the excitement hinders the dream state in which you are totally relaxed.
The dream turns black, even your mind becomes blank and you feel like opening your eyes.

What do you guys think ? Have you had this problem ?

That is a common problem with people who are inexperienced with LDing, and sometimes those who aren't. Your excitement wakes you up! Keep trying, eventually you will get used to the feeling and be able to stay lucid for longer. Search for 'stabilization' to find out how to prolong your lucid dreams.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

Yup this happens every time with me. You have to stabilize and the vision will come back. Try spinning it's the only one that works for me. But it has to be quick or you'll lose it

      Stabilize, focus, repeat.

It's an adrenaline rush the first few times you induce a lucid dream. You get used to it. It's a bit like parachuting out of a plane. The first time is wild ( and scary) by the 10th time you are familiar with the sensation. Good luck to you!
