Hey, I am new to lucid dreaming and its forms of it and was hearing people talking about having OBEs and seeing people in their life doing things, and aperantly it actually happened. Is it actually real or just a dream? Also Some Banannas since I havent used a forum in over a year |

I remember watching some documentary, they mentioned these two special types of atoms (at least I think that's what they were), which even when separated completely, and at a good distance apart, could still send and receive information much like computers over the internet. So I was thinking what if an OBE is much like the same thing, one atom is in a certain part of the brain, while one is outside sending information back the the brain. It's definitely the most wild though I've had, but we don't know everything about the human brain. |

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of entangled electrons. Due to the way that the brain receives sensory input, entanglement between the electrons of someone's brain and other electrons would not cause the ability to perceive spaces that the person cannot physically see. Scientists don't understand everything about entanglement (and I understand even less), so I could be wrong. |

Yes that's it, thank you for the correction. Although, I can't just think it's the mind tricking us into believing we're having out of body experiences, being that there is evidence that has been shown of people watching themselves being operated on, and reporting in great detail their observation, and it turns out to be what was actually happening. While I look at everything from a scientific point of view, as what we already know, I like to look at things as "what if this were possible.." because that's how we advance in science, it's basic procedure, then comes testing the hypothesis. While I could be wrong about what I stated above, I don't truly know, and it is only by observing and offering different perspectives and ideas that I can possibly help. But respect to your comments. |

I too am very scientific and dont believe in most of theories like Astral Projection and OBE's and you are right. Some people loosely use terms like Quantum entanglement and Quantum superpositions to explain events like OBE's stating that the soul is entangled with particles outside the body which allows us to look upon ourselves |
|
People claim to randomly hop out of body, and be looking at themselves in the room they are in. They may be relaxed when this stuff happens, but definitely not asleep or dreaming. You have to experience it yourself though to understand I guess |
