Unhappy Keep dreaming about lucid dreams but don't actually become lucid?

Since I started trying to lucid dream (last month) I have had a few dreams where I dream about being lucid or dream about dreams (dreamception LOL), for instance.

In one of my dreams, I was in school and the teacher handed us exam papers which was about dreaming. I even asked the teacher if she knew what lucid dreaming was.

Last night I had a dream that I was playing a weird video game or something.. Idk it's hard to remember and I said to myself that I should stop because it might interfeer with me trying to lucid dream

Oh and on another subject, I have this app on my phone that plays this sound a couple of hours into my sleep and yesterday, I heard it in my dream, I realized it was a dream but woke up straight away (My LD count is 0).

it's so frustrating lol I just want to lucid dream, atleast I'm getting there.. slowly

Im not sure if reality checks are working for me.. 1. I get lazy and can't be bothered to do them sometimes so I only do them (3-4 times)
      2. I don't seem to do them in dreams

Bleh. I'm rambling on.. just need some tips and techniques that anyone has tried that helped. I'd appreciate anything

You are on the right track! Just do a RC and you'll be there in no time I remember when I started out, and I often dreamed about lucid dreaming. "Lucid" could litteraly be written on the walls, and I didn't notice
And you realized by your app that it was a dream, so congratz you just got your first lucid! The lucids will be much longer the more lucids you get
Goals for lucid dreaming: [X] Get my first lucid, since I starte lucid dreaming again. [] Posses somone. [] Go GTA style on the streets. [] talk to my DG again

Yeah, since you heard the sound in your dream, you became lucid! It doesn't matter if you immediately woke up, you WERE in fact lucid for a second

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! OMG this still happens to me. I agree with Appe96 try to keep up the reality checks. The easiest one for me is looking at my hands at random times throughout the day. Very easy and the most reliable imo. I had a dream the other day that I saw a piece of paper that said "Astral" on it and I picked it up and saw lucid at the bottom and thought that was weird but didn't think to do an RC smh! Don't worry this just means your definitely on the right track.

I agree with Terrin! It for sure means you are on the right track. It's jst a matter of time until you do a reality check and find yourself in a lucid. Best of luck!
