Cyclizine 50 mg tablet
Hello all,
Last night I took a cyclizine 50 mg tablet to make me feel sleepy. It's usually for treatment of nausea but sleepiness is a side effect. Well, I slept, woke up at 5 AM, went back to sleep at 6 AM and out of the blue I had a lucid dream.
In my dream I was about to rescue a kitten who was under water, when I realized that I was breathing under water! So I thought "Hey, I am dreaming!" Byt then I woke up. Well, I THOUGHT I woke up, but that was a FA.
A year ago or so I tried lucid dreaming, had 3 or 4 in 6 months. or so. But lately I hadn't been thinking about it at all. So I "blame" the cyclizine?? Anyone else had experiences like this with a medicine?

Cyclizine is an anticholinergic drug, and those can have a dream-enhancing effect, often making them lucid. However, if you use too much, they can also totally blank your recall. I'd try to avoid using it for this purpose normally as you'll build a tolerance to it, and don't go above the normal doses as anticholinergics have a large range of nasty side effects at high doses, but using occasionally for this at the correct dose probably wouldn't hurt. :P

I'm gonna comment on you staying up for one hour, before going back to bed. Well, that's called WBTB - wake back to bed, and it's an excellent help in getting lucid. Happy dreams:)
