      What Went Wrong?

Today and yesterday I decided to take a nap and WILD. I got to HH and waited, eventually I fell asleep. My WILD yesterday didn't produce a lucid, but a very vivid dream. And today I hardly remember a dream at all. Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need to keep practicing?

I did notice it took less time to fall asleep on my second attempt. Can't wait to try again soon!

This is what I've always done to WILD sucsuessfully.

      1. Wake up after about 4-5 hours of rest.
      2. Get into the most comfortable position you can on your bed, couch, or whatever you sleep on after about 5-10 (I recommend staying up about 5) minutes.
      3. Then try to WILD, this will help out a bit because since you have not been in sleep paralysis for only a brief time, making it more possible to WILD.

Tips (or just what I like to do):
-Try WILDing with your eyes open, it may be difficult. But it's pretty cool, that is if you're good at staring contests.
(The only time I've ever been able to WILD was with my eyes open).

      I hope this helps!

Timing has a lot to do with it. Naps are tricky unless you catch a time when you know you will be entering REM. Try adjusting your timing 15 or 30 minutes every attempt until you find your sweet spot.

Last night it WORKED! I fell asleep at around 11:15, and set my alarm to 2:45. When I woke up I barely moved, and just turned the alarm off and went back to sleep. I had FOUR dreams! My first one was vivid, and rather long. The second was a little shorter, but towards the end it was lucid. I walked around, and touched the walls that were in this park. I was more interested in touching things then doing other stuff. I decided to shoot fire out of my hand, but i didn't try hard enough. After about two tries I got this sudden image in my hand of a piece of a strand of white string wrapping around my hand, but it only lasted a second, because I went into another dream. I was in a classroom and my English teacher was there. He had a piece of white string. He wrapped it around his hand, gave the other end to this girl I know who was seating next to me, and told her to pull. When it started to get pulled off his hand I went into another dream. It was very vivid but ended abruptly to my mom waking me up for school. I'm pretty sure what I did is a DEILD, and I can't wait to try again. Finally found the time when I enter REM!
