      argh i need motivation!! this sucks

      see last time i could lucid dream i had to stop due to my exams then when i resumed it is so frustrating!i have been doing reality checks for a week now and i have not even had 1 lucid dream previously i would have at least 1 by now! What went wrong? how can i correct it....Just because i paused awhile does that mean i have lost my rate at which i LD.... i need tips!! ;(((((

      Don't get too frustrated. And a week isn't that much anyway.
      If you've been relying solely on reality checks, i'd recommend trying various other techniques. Many people including me have had great success with the "awareness" techniques that are explained on the board. Also mantras etc, try out different things and find out what works for you. And again don't get frustrated, often the techniques don't start giving results until you've practiced them for a while. Also, getting enough sleep is a factor.. i myself have only ever had lucid dreams pretty late in the morning.

      2 weeks is not enough time to get back into things, depending on how long a break you took of course.
      As acidream said, don't get frustrated, and think about it. You were having a certain amount of lucid dreams because you had (judging by how long you have been on this site) been trying for 5 months. Right now, you have taken a break and you are trying to lucid dream for a week?

      Give it more time, LDing is a skill that can be lost just like any- but that also means it can be picked up again.
