      Last Night

Ok so I am new here. Been reading this forum for a few months now and decided to join!

I was reading it last night and saw a thread about an Artist called "Port Blues" and how it was really relaxing to WILD to. Well I put this to the test! Got 2 of the albums made by Port Blues and put them on a playlist on my iTunes called "Lucid".

Plugged in my good speakers and turned on the bass full on my sub woofer. Turned the volume right down but not so quiet you couldn't hear anything. Got comfy and relaxed on my front. I usually like lying on top of a pillow on my front so this is what I did.

As I lay there, I remember reading something on this forum about your brain testing your body, seeing if you're ready to sleep by making you itch or move, I ignored all these.

The music began to sink in, the bass felt extremely relaxing and soothing. I kept picturing myself on Bora Bora lying on the beach at sunset watching the waves move in sync with the song. My eyes kept wanting to open but I just lay there. The only problem I kept having was wanting and needing to swallow. (Not sure if that is the reason why it didn't work).

About 18 minutes in (worked out by the song) my body got really hot and my heart started beating really fast. I started thinking about all this random stuff that was popping into my head but I could almost watch it! But as soon as I did everything went to blackness again.

Not sure if this was REM but my eyes FELT as though they were moving really fast all around while my eyelids were shut. I felt my whole body go pretty numb but I think this was because I was so relaxed.

I can't remember anything else after this but I could recall dream 3 and 5 out of the 5 dreams I had. In number one it was my old history teacher accusing me of something in class and I swore on my cross necklace I wear that I didn't do it. My friend bumped her on the head and killed her and hid her under his floor boards. That was dream 3. In dream 5 I walked 20 miles to my friends house to tell him to blow the body up with dynamite, which is when I woke up when I saw him. I ony realize now that I dreamt about her because I saw her daughters name come up on my facebook page yesterday.

Was I close to attaining lucidness? Did I nearly WILD?
Thanks for reading my huge long ass essay

ps I usually eat baby bells or cheese before I go to bed so I have vivid dreams.

Sounds like you had some very vivid dreams... but was not lucid. Vivid dreams are great for causing DILD as you can sometimes find yourself questioning the irrational nature of it all. Dream recall is a positive step in lucid dream induction. When you LD, you will know it. Good luck to you!

      Thanks!

Cool sig - going to check it out now for when I fall asleep. Pretty tired, just finished a 1hr 20min round of nazi zombies. Not sure if watching a screen will affect my ability to LD. I really want to WILD it seems much more easy to me then DILD as the closest I've ever come to DILD , my mind still doesn't feel independent. Like I will go in my dream "man I wish this was a lucid dream"

Tried to WILD again last night - had no luck. I kept getting itches somewhere on my body coming from nowhere! Ignored them for at least 10 minutes but just kept getting more and more tickely parts all over my body. Not sure if this is the part where your brain is testing you or not.

Also, what are you meant to think about while you just lay there? Any tips on WILDreaming?

ps also will swallowing affect my ability to enter sleep paralysis / astral projections?
