Hypnagogic Induced Lucid Dream
Hello,
I am currently reading Stephen LaBerge's: Exploring the world of lucid dreaming.
In the WILD chapter he describes a technique where you watch hypnagogic imagery as an observer without disrupting it and eventually a scene will become more detailed and clear with hypnagogic sound and all. Soon enough you will transfer from waking to that scene.
I find that its easier than the classic WILD, sort of like a VILD but even simpler.
Last night I reentered an amazing dream but it faded unfortunately.
Hypnagogic Induced Lucid Dream
1. Go to sleep (unless you're skilled at WILDing before bed...) and wake up 4-6 hours later
2. Stay awake for a few minutes or so, so you won't fall asleep instantly
3. Watch the hypnagogic imagery with out disrupting it, (another method for staying aware while performing an WILD, which is quite common, is counting your self to sleep, I use this technique to keep my self aware but it is not necessary because what makes this HILD easy [at least for me] is that you don't need to try hard to fall asleep while awake, just watch the imagery without making an impact on it)
4. Eventually you will be in the dream and become lucid quite easily since you transition from waking into dream!
I find it very enjoyable/interesting watching the hypnagogic imagery form and become detailed and maybe you will too! Try it because even if you fall asleep you will have a chance to WBTB so you have nothing to lose, especially since it is relatively easy.
