Firstly I'd like to mention that this concept is already known.

I have started using the alarm from my iPod (dog barking) to alert me to do a RC.

I will set this alarm to go off (not too loud that I will wake up) during the REM period so that while I'm dreaming I'll hear this alarm (dog barking) and I will remember to do the RC

This method can be effective if used properly and could accelerate the DILD/MILD techniques though I am aware there could be flaws

I use the dog barking alarm because I don't find it annoying or distracting
