when i use wake back to bed i get up at four then go back to bed at five repeating im going to remember to realize im dreaming but it stop working any ideas
Firstly, you need to wake up in at a certain time. Its usually about 4-5 hours after you fall asleep is the best time to wake up. Your body has rested, and now it's just your mind thats going to rest, and dream, for the rest of the night. When you wake up, you don't need to get out of bed at all. You don't even need to sit up. All you need to do is stimulate your brain- read a book, do a puzzle, play a game, listen to music, do some maths. Then go back to sleep. You don't need to chant to yourself or repeat you will realize your dreaming, because you just won't. It's the correct method, just used ineffectively.
Look up Reality checks and MILD. They are basically the same as what you have been doing, but without the waking up early and the fruitless repetitions.
Hang in there bro, wbtb has a 50% success rate which is a lot better then not having lucid dreams at all. You could play around with your wakefullness period. instead of going to bed at 5 go to bed at 4:30. The worst thing you could do is break your routine of what has already worked for you. Also realize wbtb is not a magical technique for lucid dreaming but it puts you in the right frame of mind for it, in that sense wbtb is doing what its supposed to do everytime once your in the astral dreamscape its up to you to do reality checks to confirm that your dreaming. hope this helps namaste :)
50% chance success rate? I tried it for a week straight, not once did it work! I'm either very unlucky, or it's more down to practice makes perfect than it just being a hit and miss technique. There is nothing you can do to you immediately have a lucid dream. No one great technique works for everyone too. Just keep trying, digging, and experimenting.
