Just a couple questions!

Yo, I usually have a hard time getting to sleep. So I usually take some tylenol pm before occasionally if im out of tylenol ill take some Nyquil. Will this effect anything in my attempts to WILD or lucid dream for that matter? And i usually have the tv on when i sleep its not really distracting because im used to it being on but if i dont have it on then Its so hard to sleep! Any Suggetions?

Nyquil contains doxylamine. This ingredient is considered a hypnotic. Hypnotics, including over-the counter ones, basically reverse the natural sleep process by shutting down neurotransmitters in our body first and not last. If our nerves are not communicating with one another then sleep soon follows. I have found that sleeping pills are not conducive to lucid dreaming (although I have had rare LD's on Ambien) . Tylenol PM uses diphenhydramine for sedation. These two drugs, Nyquil and Tylenol PM, will have different effects on the sleeper. Maybe one is better then the other for LD's? Just a thought.
