lucids that you.... hmm.... this is hard to explain. You realize your dreaming but not enough to 'gain conscienceless' or whatever

Hmm, let me try to understand. Do you mean semi-consciousness or semi-control? For example, realizing you're dreaming but still engaging in an a situation like it were waking life OR not being vivid and able to adjust the dream according to your desire?

      hmm. stay focused?
I've noticed if I get too excited or try too hard it doesn't work out well.

o-o? Conscience is your sense between what's right and what's wrong...You find it difficult to know whats right vs. wrong during lucid dreams?

Hehee, I do. Anyway. In a situation like that I think it's best to abandon the situation. I know it may seem important, like you should keep engaging, but don't. I think it will distract you and take your awareness of the dream. Leave and reconstruct something else, or the same thing, after you have full lucidity. Does this make any sense or am I being confusing again?

Firstly, I try not to become excited. Excited = Adrenaline = Awakening . I prefer, these days, to be a dispassionate observer in my LD's . It can be difficult, but becoming 'Spock-like' can extend a LD's length.

nono.... I am semi lucid, so i realize I'm dreaming but don't become conscious, so i don't really become lucid. In other words, I can't control my excitedness.

OH excitement. How does someone calm down in a lucid dream? HMMMMMM. Maybe you have to learn from experience, just relax! xD

I believe it is something you have to condition yourself to do- dream stabilization. Just like you did with RCs to realize you are dreaming, you should condition yourself to stabilize the dream and increase awareness and vividness as soon as you say to yourself "I'm dreaming!"

If you haven't read this yet, it is a MUST:

      Dream Stabilization & Clarity Tutorial

Awareness can vary in a lucid dream. It can feel like any other dream, or it can feel realer than real life. There is no semi-lucid. There is lucid- knowing that you're dreaming, and then there is awareness/vividness. Awareness may increase as soon as you become lucid. It may not. That and not getting too excited is what dream stabilization is all about. Hahaha. I hope this helps you out!

I have lots of partially lucid dreams. By "partially lucid" I mean that I am aware that I am in a dream, but I do not think or behave as I would if I were fully lucid.
I'm not sure why sometimes I become fully lucid and other times I only become partially lucid. Maybe practicing stabilization and awareness would help. Or maybe sometimes the dream self just isn't in the right mood or something to becoming fully lucid.
      It's all in your head.

That's what I was trying to say in the above post, earlier. I think practicing stabilization would help, without a doubt. Good luck.

Lucid is just you bieng aware of your dream, as in your actions in the dream are based on your knowledge of knowing your in a dream. for example last night i became aware of bieng in a dream, and then i began doing some tasks i had set my self before sleeping, and then i was just following the dream plot, i wsnt controling or changing the dreamscape but for example if i hit a dead end id say to my self this is a dream so i can go invisible and walk through the locked door.
