How to I become lucid again?

So I've been lucid three times within the last two months (all three happening from DILDs), and I want to know how people are able to be consistent with their LDs. I also have this problem when I am lucid where it seems like I close my eyes in the dream and I just fade out. It's weird because there's no need to close your eyes in a dream because your body is asleep anyway. I need advice for anchoring myself in the dream, and not just completely losing lucidity. Any tips?

I've never gotten an urge to close my eyes in a lucid dream. Common techniques for remaining in the dream:
      • Don't get excited, don't think about the fact that you're lucid dreaming too much.
      • Immerse your senses in the dream world. Rubbing your hands works well, as does feeling your surroundings, looking at the details around you, spinning, etc. (Jumping into a pool of water and swimming worked really well for me recently.) The only problem with these methods is that they seem to stop working as soon as you stop doing them.
      • Some people say that not trying to take control right away, and instead 'pretending' that they're not lucid and continuing on with what they were doing in the dream before, helps.

And to stay more consistent, I guess you just have to do better with your lucidity methods. Maybe you're doing fine and your lucid dreams will become more frequent with time, or maybe you need to do more reality checks or have a better reality check method, or try to think about lucid dreaming more in the day, or visualize yourself becoming lucid in a dream you just had.

yeah, It's annoying when that happens. with me, I find my dream fades as soon as I try to say my name out loud or think too much about the fact I'm not awake.
When you're in a dream, try kneeling on a carpet. It helps, because you can feel the grains and textures of the floor. rubbing and spinning are good. try not to focus on stuff too much and if you close your eyes, remind yourself that your eyes were closed in real life anyway so it shouldn't matter if you do it now.
