I think I'm in need of a few pointers. I've tried everything to LD again, and Ive only gotten close once.
I'm stuck on trying to WILD. I go to bed too far after midnight to set an alarm clock for 5 hours later and wake myself up, so I've been trying to do this without sleeping first.
I've gotten close once, all the way to sleep paralysis. And then I "heard" what sounded like my dad yelling in pain. It immediately woke me up, but I was frozen and couldn't call out to see if he was okay. So, I laid there and panicked for what seemed like hours.
It was only seconds. And my dad wasn't at home. It was just the noises and hallucinations you experience in the middle of all of it.
Ever since then, I can get myself relaxed and almost there, but then the muscles in my legs spasm for some reason. It wakes me up instantly. I go through these steps three or four times, and then finally wake up in the morning disappointed that I can't even remember my dreams, much less LD (as I fall asleep somewhere in the middle of all that)
Any tips or techniques you'd suggest to help me along? I know it would work a LOT better if I slept first, woke myself up 5 hours later, and then tried to WILD. But I go to sleep rather late. By the time 5 hours rolls around, people are up making noises in my house and its too distracting to concentrate.
