Almost lucid. Heat attack?
So last night I was in a dream, and the thought, "Wait. This isn't real, I'm dreaming." Came into my head. Now, I've had this happen a lot, but I just get too excited from becoming lucid and I wake up.
So this time when it happened, I stayed very calm, and focused on my breathing, trying to just stay with it. However, I felt like I was paralyzed (in the dream) somewhat, not entirely, and it began to heat up the longer I tried to stay lucid. It got super hot and I couldn't hold on any longer so I woke up.
Coincidentally I was really hot in my bed in real life too. Should that have an effect like it did?
And what are some good, simple, techniques for stabilizing once you realize you're dreaming?
