      Help with my MILD

I've never really had any luck with MILD. The thing is that I can't get the last thought I think before falling asleep to be about me having a lucid dream. Every time when I try to do this my mind wanders or I can't sleep because I am focused on that last thought. Do you have any tips about how to get this right? Thx.

Don't force it on yourself. Just think of you having a lucid and keep it in the back of your head.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

I've tried doing MILD two ways: One was literally saying it over and over, "I will become lucid" and things like that, which didn't work.

Another thing i did, just last night, was to imagine myself becoming lucid. I pictured myself sitting in a dream preforming a reality check and then realising it worked. Then, i just let that thought float around in my head until i fell asleep, and when i woke up this morning, i remembered my LD! Just try to imagine it, not so much as saying it.

      Use the mantra, 'LUCID DREAMS'

There is no conscious resistance to this and will be soaked up completely by the subconscious. This resistance is what Burke is experiencing and probably why they failed.

As Dakotahnok pointed out, just do it in a relaxed manner.

getting 6 hours of pre sleep beforehand never hurts. Wake up, go to the bathroom, come back and tell yourself the next place you'll be is in a dream. Worked for me the few times I've tried it, you'll just suddenly find yourself in a dream
