Law abiding citizen by day, breaking the laws of reality by night.
"How can you be aware that you're dreaming, if you're never aware that you're awake?"
Whenever I don't keep one I can't remember shit. It sucks haha |

"Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?" And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots. You see, reverend Maynard tomorrow is harvest day, and to them it is the holocaust."
If I don't keep a dream journal, I can still remember them for a little while after I wake up, but if I don't take note of them... they soon become forgotten forever. |

I think using an audio recorder will be effective for people who are lazy to write in their dream journals (me included, hehe). Actually I think it's a better idea, since movement can hinder dream recall. It'll be more effective if one can just reach out for his audio recorder and speak out the dream, all with little movement and eyes closed, hence better recall. |

I keep one, though I don't need it, I can remember around 5-7 dreams/night without it, in fact, when I first started a DJ it messed up my recall pretty bad, but thankfully I'm back in shape, DJ doesn't do any more damage now. |

I don't keep a journal and I never have. I hadn't heard of it till I joined these forums, but I've always been able to recall my dreams just fine. I still remember dreams from years ago. As long as I can remember actually having dreamed that night, I've never had a problem recalling. |

I have a dream journal, I think it helps me a lot. When I don't write anything, it gets harder to remember. |
|
I've never kept a DJ so I don't know if it would help my recall or not. I do spend a few minutes after a dream thinking about the place, the people, and what in RL may have been the catalyst. This seems to be enough to set them in long term memory. |

One of the most said hints in this forum, for lucidity, is Dream Journal. Recall. |
|
The dream journal isn't recall only, the DJ serves to help identify dream signs too, however, if someone has natural recall, a DJ can be completely overlooked. |
|
I just started using a dream journal about a month ago, and it has improved my recall |

I have only written 1 dream in my DJ and that was it. I can recall just about most of my dreams and remember each detail from it. But I do write some of the epic dreams I have here on dreamviews |
