Okay, in the last few weeks I've had two times where I've become "lucid", so to speak, in a dream. One was just minutes ago and the other was weeks ago. It wasn't through an RC or anything, either, it just sort of dawned.
A few weeks ago, I was having some dream that a family was being haunted by something. I was sent to help them as some sort of ghost expert or something strange. At one point, it all just seemed so strange and I basically said to myself that I was dreaming. At that point, everything just collapsed.
A few minutes ago, I decided to take a nap. I thought I was still awake, sort of, but things seemed like I was dreaming. What was going on was a little hazy - I seemed to be at some sort of beach at a beach house. There were pigeons making a noise in the background and some dog barking. At that point, I mentally - for whatever reason - said "I must be half dreaming, half awake". The dog barking grew very loud and sounded real, so I tried to focus on it(there was nothing visual but darkness at this point), but it never barked again. The pigeon noise I heard turned into a very loud ringing, and I "came back" to my body, so to speak, which was tingly and still in SP, I think. I felt as if I was physically leaving my body or moving when I wasn't, and eventually, it just stopped and I fully got up.
Is there anyway to control a DILD? I realize you should RC, try to stabilize it, remain calm, etc... The issue is that I'm doing most of these, but the second I become lucid - and I don't think I'm even excited when I do, generally - the dream collapses.
