External Music Experiment To Become Lucidity

      aka A Clockwork Orange-Like Effect
**Ignore the stupid typo in the title.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to listen to a song ("Dream A Little Dream Of Me") a few times everyday. For the duration of the song, I will remain focused on increasing awareness, performing RC's, reading about lucid dreaming or browsing DV, "Am I dreamin'?", etc. At night, I set the song to play during an REM cycle, in the hopes that it will induce lucidity, by the trigger from the song to question reality, in my dream character in the dream.

Do y'all have any suggestions or ideas to make this method functional? How many times should the song be looped, if at all? Has there been any other similar experiment that I can look up (to see if it has ever actually worked)?

Song suggestions are welcome as well.

It might work, but chances are you will wake up from the song before you become lucid. And if you are lucid, it might not be easy to completely ignore/disable external sensory input so you can dream without being disturbed.

Give it a try, it is reported to be effective in some cases, although there are more effective methods.

I'll try to make the music as subtle as possible, and only loop the song once or twice. Maybe even have the song played various times during the night. I'll obviously have to do some tweeking as I go along. My only worry is that while asleep I won't be able to interpret the song the same way as I do when awake, that I'll just hear it as any other noise and it won't just kick in the critical part of the brain.

I'm just testing different methods to see which one is most effective for myself.
