Thread: tell me how to find activity buddies

Join a tennis club? Place an ad in a local paper?

i was thinking more along the lines of using the internet. i'd rather make some informal matches than join a club - i've done that before and i can't afford the fees anymore

oh i know about meetup - you have to pay to start a group . i don't see any already formed i'd be interested in.

Isn't this you just asking us how to make friends?

You can google the hobby or sport or activity, and your city and state. Chances are some of the sites will be local sites about that activity. Then you can check out their forum or look for contact information. Or you can google your local city and state and hobbies/clubs and find sites that way. If you find a club which is just a bunch of people it probably wont cost anything, or very little.

Otherwise, find some nice tennis courts(or whatever your activity needs), and just hang out there a bit. Chance are you will run into other people then just say hello.

no. not every friend i make has the same hobbies.

thanks, i'll look into that. maybe through that i can figure out how to create a meetup thing.
