Join a tennis club? Place an ad in a local paper? |

i don't really know too many local people... it's been hard for me to meet people to do stuff with within a range i can walk/bike to. for example, i'd like to find people to play tennis with and be able to organize meet-ups at a place that works for me. does anyone have any advice? i also need to meet some women |

i was thinking more along the lines of using the internet. i'd rather make some informal matches than join a club - i've done that before and i can't afford the fees anymore |

You can google the hobby or sport or activity, and your city and state. Chances are some of the sites will be local sites about that activity. Then you can check out their forum or look for contact information. Or you can google your local city and state and hobbies/clubs and find sites that way. If you find a club which is just a bunch of people it probably wont cost anything, or very little. |
