So as you all of you, or many at least, know that I'm way fat. However slowly but surely I'm losing weight(I'm down 27 pounds since Jan. 1).

Today I went to two separate schools to see my sisters participate in musical concerts. One plays cello, and the other violin and they're both getting pretty damn good. But I digress.

I noticed a huge(pardon the pun) amount of really fat kids in both the schools. I knew that childhood obesity was a problem the country was facing, but I'd never seen such a concentration of them in one(two) areas before.

So I got to thinking, once I get my weight to a normal level I'd like to open an affordable "get active camp"... a fat camp without the needing to be fat to join and without the negative stigma, I guess.

There's nothing like that near us, I've looked with my mom. The closest type of thing is like 100 miles away and it's extremely expensive. Like 4 grand per month.

It's all very hypothetical right now, but I guess it wouldn't be the stereotypical "Work-out 10 hours a day, eat only salad and get yelled at by former fat people with childhood issues to work out camp"
I'd want it to be a place that encourages behavior modification, enjoying getting active and providing counseling when necessary(I need it, and I know I'm not the only one who does) and making healthier food and lifestyle choices.
Both for their physical health but mental health and also having the chance to instill the knowledge and desire to be eco-friendly or "green"(fucking hate that word) and also to learn to enjoy nature.

There'd be camps for differing age ranges, young children, preteen to "tweens"(fucking hate that word too) and young adults(14-18).

I hated and hate being fat, and I don't want other kids to have to go through it... it really, really sucks.
I'd want it to be really cheap, like a few hundred every session, with the opportunities for a lot of scholarships so no one would have to go without.

I was wondering what it would cost to start something like this? Is it even a good idea? How would I go about starting one or getting sponsors/grants?

And I know, I need my own shit in control before I try and help other people... like the "Take the plank from your own eye before you help get the speck from your friends eye" thing, but this is a future look thing.
