Thread: Tell me about Nintendo DS games

I'll be buying a DS (for various reasons) within the next few days, and I'm wondering what games you guys would recommend. I really love RPGs, and I was verrrry happy to learn that there's a Zelda game for the DS. So, what else is there??

I know there are some visual novels you can buy for the DS...don't know if your into that kind of thing though...

Also, I seem to like the pokemon games more than the show...maybe it's because they don't spam their name every 5 seconds?

I highly recommend Chrono Trigger, From the Abyss and Animal Crossing.
I also regularly play Sudoku via Brain Age 1 and 2 and the Weight Loss Coach is helpful if only I could remember to wear the pedometer lol
Civilization is also a pretty good game.

Yay thanks! Hmm I've heard of Animal Crossing... And I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try out a Pokemon game, because I think you're right about it being better than the show slayer. Haven't watched an episode in probably close to 10 years now.

Get yourself an R4 card. It's the only DS 'game' you'll ever need to buy.

Gah! I dropped my ds and one of the hinges broke. It still works but the top screen is kinda loose.... Guess I have my reason to buy ds lite now.......

Also, if you want games that really utilize the DS' features, try:

Elite Beat Agents
Trauma Center: Under The Knife
Wario Ware: Touched!

Be warned that Trauma Center is likely to make you swear at your DS is fits of rage because of its difficulty. It's an awesome game though.
