Thread: Tell me about Nintendo DS games

I know there are some visual novels you can buy for the DS...don't know if your into that kind of thing though...

Also, I seem to like the pokemon games more than the show...maybe it's because they don't spam their name every 5 seconds?

I highly recommend Chrono Trigger, From the Abyss and Animal Crossing.
I also regularly play Sudoku via Brain Age 1 and 2 and the Weight Loss Coach is helpful if only I could remember to wear the pedometer lol
Civilization is also a pretty good game.

Yay thanks! Hmm I've heard of Animal Crossing... And I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try out a Pokemon game, because I think you're right about it being better than the show slayer. Haven't watched an episode in probably close to 10 years now.

Get yourself an R4 card. It's the only DS 'game' you'll ever need to buy.

Although I gotta say, I have a big problem "acquiring" things other than music without getting a virus or two for a souvenir.

by the way, there is a new DS coming out, its already out in japan, infact maybe its already out in america, i dont know, but its the nintendo DSi, its got cameras, you can browse the internet, there is an SD card slot, and its thiner and has a better screen. i would recommend that. its not that much dearer either.

but for games, i myself would get like call of duty and need for speed and stuff

Just ask some people in Korea about the R4 card. They're infamous for using them.

That game never gets old. And if you have Wi-Fi, you can invite friends to your village and chat, it's really cool!

Hmm, do you think a DSi is really worth it tho? Apparently it can't play GBA games.. I'm not sure yet if that matters to me but whatever..

Final Fantasy XII for DS is a continuation of the console game, which is a good tactical game.

Mario Kart DS online is a good one.. Can't forget pokemon diamond and pearl New Super Mario brothers and zelda was fun. It can play GBA games.

Final Fantasy Tatics Advanced was a great game...you should try it out!

Yeah not the DSi though. I dunno, are there enough great GBA games for me to get a regular DS instead?

There are LOADS of Gba games, and alot of them are amazing.

And I totally prefer Minish Cap(gba zelda game) over the Zelda game for Ds.

For me, I don't think this new DS is good enough that I'd trade all my gameboy games for it...

If you have a bunch of GBA games, why not get one? I still have an SP that I use for GB games, and I play GBA on DS. (L shoulder button works only occasionally on the SP)

Thing is I don't have any GBA games.

But I've been doing some research online for the past couple of hours and looks like there really aren't that many "gems" for the DS. But as someone has said, there are loads for the GBA.

Ugh I just have this really strong desire to get the newest in technology, ya know? Which is really the only reason I'm considering the DSi.

GBA micro looks epic, high tech, and plays GBA games while fitting in your pocket. (changeable faceplates, too)
