Thread: Tell me where's the old DV staff?

I remember when I first started comming to this site about 2 years ago, there was a completely different staff list:

Seeker
PJ
Clarity
to name a few.

Where did they go? I know Clarity is still active, so why isn't she still staff?

You missed the mass staff dropout earlier in the year. They all resigned due their own "personal reasons." A little too close together if you ask me.

Also, dupe account = ban

Guess they moved. idk why Clarity isn't staff...

They started a new website after asher bought this one.

this thread makes me smile, it makes me happy that i joined in 2007.

you joined in 2009, obviously, but you seem to know more than some people on the site, how long have you been observing it?

but yeah, mass staff drop, some are still here, placebo is back, umbrasquall and tornado joe never left, Exobyte, and Amethyst star are also quite active, though they were once staff.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Mortalmist's forum is shit compared to this one. The layout sucks and it's not active at all. Seeker was an idiot to sell this site.

Seeker never owned Dreamviews. That statement alone really discredits anything you have to say on the staffing situation.

This is only a half truth. Mortal Mist was revived by Seeker after he had left Dreamviews, and a good selection of people migrated there while others are active on both sides.

I myself seldom post on MM.

I hate it when our past staff comes up now. Seriously, every discussion gets filled with more crap and misinformation every time this topic comes up. As much as I wish things were the way they were back then, it seems simply talking about it now makes things worse.

I'm sick of this topic.

Lol, I hate to say it but...you joined this month, have 5 posts...and have already sealed your future on DV as a social outcast by this post alone. Congratulations...how do you feel? You should feel accomplished. Noone has ever slaughtered their DV social life within a single post...you however, managed to do so.

You might want to read my other post genius. That might explain a few things.

Just to add (calmly) to what's been said, MM is actually pj's site and he revised and remodeled it around April of last year. It's not a second DV, but rather more of a focused group working towards a deeper, more personal understanding of LDing away from a booming off-topic community. I would refrain from insulting them, though, as it is merely a matter of personal preference. It's the same with people who prefer DV over LD4ALL.

A good number of the members who "transferred" still visit DV. Their primary focus, though, is MM. I enjoy spending time there and I applaud their efforts, but I still love DV and I don't see that changing any time soon
