My grandmother doesn't really want her grandchildren dating white women (or any woman outside of our race but white it seems is the big no no) I love my grandmother dearly though. Her grandson (my cousin) is currently dating a white girl and they've been together for 2 + years. His parents love her and her parents really love him. I'm the kind of guy whose never thought about marrying/dating/belonging to my own skin color. I find pleasure in all of Grod's creature. :chuckle: I have to agree with a lot of other posters in this thread when they say they have noticed race isn't that big a deal as our parents and grandparents. Perhaps our grandchildren will be totally color blind, metaphorically speaking of course.

That surprises me that your Scottish parents are cool with it.

My grandfather is Scottish and he was PISSED when my mother married an arab. But it may have just been amplified by the fact that he was already pissed about her converting to Islam. :P
