      I don't know, maybe because it passes time better and then you don't feel as battered. I find that it is better for my self-conscious to choose a song that reflects my mood, if I am happy, and I listen to an uplifting song, that feeling is doubled.

      To answer Ynot's question: because your brain blends them together into a harmonious rhythm, which is appeasing. That compensates for flat and sharp spots, it essentially evens it out. Same reason you sound better in the shower than in real life

      Basically your relaxed so you can really get down with it. It allows you to let go of the bullshit your normally focussing on and just groove to the beat. Pretty much you stop giving a fuck.
      157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.
