Tell Me What Motivates You!

Hey, Now in recent months i have found motivation the most difficult thing to achieve, i would always get really motivated just as i was about to go to bed, it was always a night. But now that i am trying to eat healthier and lose weight etc i thought immediately that i would be doomed with it like many of my other attempts, i only succeeded once. Hopefully i will succeed again! But i have found out what best motivates me and more importantly, how to get myself motivated whenever i want What Motivates Me - I get my motivation by listening to some inspirational orchestral music whilst reflecting on past events, i also look to the future and see what directions my life could go, i try to imagine how i would feel if i went down each path, i then find the best path and that becomes my goal. This then becomes my driving motivation. How do you motivate yourself?

I tend to desire motivation in one subject at a time, for instance art, or music. What I do is look at a really good example of the subject and then think 'wow, if I work hard enough, I might be able to do something like that one day.' Unfortunately, there is the working hard bit in between becoming motivated and being able to create great works of art In school work, there's nothing really to motivate me except that I'll get a detention if I don't do it... that's not exactly inspirational, which is probably the reason that I still haven't made the history notes that are due in tomorrow

I draw on everything for motivation... newspapers, artwork, the writing on bathroom stalls, etc.

Reading threads like this motivate me. Seriously - I'm motivated just by enjoying life and the people who surround me, both in "real life" and virtually. Life is awesome, and made more so by every one of those who share theirs with me.

I'm only motivated by either strong curiosity or interest in something, the idea of the outcome being very good for someone I truly care about, or the probability that it will result in people thinking highly of me. The first one is pretty limited because there are few things I'm strongly curious or interested about. The second one is pretty limited as well, because there are few people I truly care about and there are few times when I feel I could do something that would be very good for them. The third one is pretty limited because there are few things I feel I am good enough at to impress people, and there are few times those opportunities come up.

Hmmm MiniBurns. I think one is enough personally hehe For me motivation, and this might sound sad, is my Mum. She is so proud of me, and everything I have achieved. I let her down, in a big way when I was younger, made some very stupid decisions and put my family through hell really untill I was about 18/19 when I sorted myself out. Now she tells everyone about how well I am doing and how proud of me she is, which is fantastic, and everytime she tells me how proud she is and how much she loves me, it just makes me feel good and motivated to be as good-a-person as I can be

what motivates me hmm... Well there are a few things..I live to help people in whatever way I can but I also enjoy something new, the unknown, a challenge is what motivates me the most. I guess I have a drive to be diffrent and I guess that motivates me too.
