I'd like some good headphones for my iPod, around £50 = $100. I don't need epic bass, I just want good quality sound. I'd like 'em to be round the ear, closed. Ta! |

The best headphones I've ever owned were Bose Noise canceling. But they were probably about $300. (They were a precious gift that a past dog got into a chewed up after a couple of years. Boy was I pissed!) |
I may wear them outside a bit, but they will mainly be for personal use at home. I actually prefer the low-fi look, I would feel stupider walking around with a pair of silver curvy things on my head. Humidity ain't a problem at all. |
I haven't tried them, but ATH as a brand is very promising. Up there with AKG in quality. If you can find a place to try them on and listen for a while, do it. |
My friends have Beats by Dr. Dre. They're pretty expensive though, up to three hundred bucks in the US. |
I listened to some Dre headphones in an Apple shop. They sounded horrid; the bass blocked out pretty much everything. |

"...and we want punks in the palace, 'cos punks got the loveliest dreams..." - A Silver Mt. Zion
It was the best of times. It was the end of times.
