Thread: Tell me about the Independent Party

Hello.

So I'm a little confused. I registered for the Independent Party thinking that it meant that I decided not to be split between Democrat or Republican because really, I hold sides from both parties and I really don't wish to be stuck to one side and go with the "herd".

But I'm looking through Google, and I'm getting different results like it's a "right-wing" party, or Independents strongly value "In God We Trust" on the dollar (I strongly don't), but most of the posts on urbandictionary.com says that it's just a non-affiliated party.

Help please... Do I need to just check "non-affiliated" next time? Because I heard that those people can't vote on some propositions (which seems totally ridiculous).
