yesterday was pride '09!
it was absolutely amazing. my mom's first time and my second, but i stayed a lot longer this year.
here are a few pictures i took. i'll add more soon as well as some videos!

America was the best dressed out of the country flags:



there were a lot of men dressed in bondage, most of them old. this is one of the younger fellas:

after the parade goes in a half circle around the 'gay village' in Vancouver, everyone heads down to English bay for merch, food, entertainment and general gayness until they head to the gay clubs afterwards. here's me and my mom with our nifty hats on the beach:

oh by the way, i want you all to know that as i post these pictures, i have no pants on and i'm wearing the rainbow hat from the previous pictures.

nice pictures. i was kind of expecting to see a moose or two though. =(

this is Mama Kitty. she was a stray who followed us when we moved and came to our house pregnant almost 13 years ago. we kept a few of her babies. this cat is amazing; she's incredibly affectionate and loving but also street smart and a great hunter. she would go out everyday and bring back rats, mice, birds and rabbits. she also save my dad's friend from a fire.



this is one of Mama Kitty's offspring.
