Wow... I've been using photoshop for almost a year now and I cant do anything near as good as you! And you are MUCH better at drawing people than I am. Great work!

Though relatively simple and yet incomplete, I love the sunset picture.

The volcano one is my favorite, I love the detail! I like the snow on the mountain peak, and the fire / lava. But, if you don't mind a little constructive critisism, I think that the sky could use a tiny bit more work. Maybe a little glow around the stars?

I can't wait to see more. You are, I must say, incredibly talented.

ha ha im gonna get a big head from all the nice things people are saying.

yeah your right and someone else mentioned about the stars they are not very good, also the fore ground lacks detail but im not entirely sure what to do with it....hmmmm

the sunset and volcano one were just a few things im trying out really so im not entirely sure if im gonna go back to them. This thread was intended for some of my fav LDs and normal dreams

so today at work having nothing to do lol I took to doodling some stuff.

Now one of the dreams I have been wanting to draw for ages is my Squid luicid found at the below link.

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...&postcount=180

this is one of my fav lucids so here is a little plan for doing it. The sketch is fairly basic and a little scrappy but after all its just a plan lol

and I have started on the first frame, im still unsure if I will shrink it down to put them all on the same image which could be cool, this one as per is not finished however this one will def be finished. I may change a few things here and there. Any advice suggestions please feel free to post.

Wow, how come I haven't seen this topic before

Im in love with that drawing of the sunset with the silhouette... I could stare at it for hours, making up some nice story going on there...
(have some good memories about sunset at the beach, in Portugal, so this brings back the good memories)

I can't believe you just started working with PS... what tools do you use to create that 'almost real' look in your paintings?

yeah im a massive fan of sun sets I love them, they are very romantic. I saw a great one off the coast of italy a few years back it was totally beautiful.

As far as the things I use when doing my paintings is just the layers function the paint brush and the smudge tool thats all I know how to use lol

Oh yea, the squid dream--that was a good one, especially the ending. Your sketches have great perspective. That will be a cool one when you get it done.

It's really cool that you are using your dreams to inspire your art--what a great source for subject material.

Brilliant work Mark..that's the truth. I don't know how long you've been fiddling with Photoshop but well done. I'm also VERY fond of the sunset photo...As Moonbeam said, it's good subject material from no better source than...dreams.

thanks mate! I have not been using it long at all. The number of pics on here is how much I have used it so not very much lol but im practising.

Here is a small update, the foreground is fairly basic and I still need to detail the picture and add a few more things

The arrows really complete the picture.

I love the purple sky; that is so beautiful.

As per my job today was incredibly boring! so with a few spare minutes on my hand I decided to do a couple of little doodles.

Now im a huge fan of dragon ball z so I thought I would give it a try after finding a site on how to draw DBZ characters. Now I done these in pen so I couldnt erase any mistakes lol

top left is super saiyajin Goku - the eyes are wrong I messed up there

Top right is meant to be super saiyajin 3 Goku - now the hair was a real challange and I thought it was going ok until I put in the engery which totally messed it up ha ha

      Bottom is just normal goku

now these are more or less my first real effort into drawing DBZ characters, I have done a few crapy things here and there. Anyone got any tips on how to draw them.

I know I'm a bit late, but seriously, OMG, those PS pictures are soooo good. You have inspired me to get back into PSing and now I'm gonna try making a picture of one of my dreams!

      Cheers

Dang, man, you have serious talent! Those Photoshop pictures are amazing, especially the first. Flat-out amazing.

I keep meaning to try my hand at painting in PS but can never seems to find the time. No way I'll ever come close to that, though.

Oh I didn't see this page... purple is a geat color for the sky... Everything looks super.. the only thing I would change is to make the pictures less symmetrical and move the person or yourslef off to the side..

Wow, I just saw this. I really dig that painting of the sunset. I wouldn't tweak it too much. I think its restraint is what makes it work so well.

I hope you do some more soon.
