this may be something that is already been done. But it was new to me and I thought it was cool.....after the fact.
I had a dream last night. From my perspective it sucked. I'll tell you the concept. Then if your not board enough you can go on to read the dream experience.
Get a group of people (like a writer's group, however many people. The more the merrier.)
You sit in a circle.
Each person is given a drink. cup/mug. EVERY drink is different. (my dream included -pumpkin bisque -coffee -tea with lavender (that's all I can remember.
None of the participants know their drink until it is their turn.
The first person begins;
Take a sip of your drink. Let your mind freely inspire thought. Add lib type scenario. Spawn your creativity, as the leader of the group proposed it in my dream.
The next person in the circle then takes a sip of their ~whatever
The rule is you have to continue from the last persons story. as you could imagine going form a cup of coffee to a glass of orange juice would alter the story dramatically. But that is the point. Fun but imaginative and creative. Well that is about it. As far as my dream:
I was the kid in class who would sit with a pit in my stomach waiting to be called upon to read aloud. In my dream I voluntarily went to a writers group. I went in with confidence. HEll I can read, nothing to be afraid of.
So I was the new person in the group. The leader had called on me to be the first in the circle an to introduce myself. All e=was going well. I thought I was going to stand up and start reading Macbeth or something That;s when she dropped the bomb on me with this idea.
I had pumpkin bisque (tasted like shit too) I stood there. My mind was blank. Duuuuh and there I stood
I guess I will stick to doctor Seuss.
I do think this could be a fun and creative process. Even more so if you had a group of your friends.
Well I hope someone can put this to use.
