Thread: Another poem...

Okay, not quite sure what to call this one...i was thinking 'exorcism' but i don't know...

I flew fast and i flew far.
I thought i'd outrun you.
Until the day i found you
on the beach.

It was the colour of the sea,
the pounding of the waves.
The taste of salt on my lips.
I knew all this, and i knew
you were with me.

The nights I dreamed of you,
when you were more real to me
than ever.
The way i missed you, the minute
i awoke.

The man into whose eyes i looked,
plumbing the depths, searching,
hoping there would be some
resemblance of you, and then
maybe i could have forgotten it all.

To me, you are the sea, the sky,
the sand.
The salt on my lips.
I need them both, but can oly have
one of you.

yeah, i haven't written anything for a while...a couple of very personal ones that i didn't post...

Well, keep at it. Even a few sentences can convey more meaning than a novel.
By the way--I adore your avatar. I love that movie "Titanic" and that time period.

oh, thanks...i seem to just have a general obsession with that movie, i'm not sure why...
i've always been fascinated by that necklace...
Maybe, if i marry a rich man, i'll find a jeweller, and get him to make me one!
