Photography Task 22/05/2011 - 05/06/2011: Action

So a while back, Xox tried to get a photography task thing going, where the photographers of DV would take upon whatever task was given. It kind of fell to the ground, due to lack of people, but I'm going to give it another shot.

Basically shoot a photo that is somehow related to the task (in this case "action") and put it on here. I'll give some ideas and tips, but you are completely free to expand on the idea in whatever way you want.

As said, the task of the next two weeks will be action. This could for example be people engaged in a conversation, somebody playing video games, sports, excercise, explosions, anything that implies movement and maybe chaos; action!
Again, you can expand on the idea in any way.

And remember, it's not a competition, so post whatever you have, even if somebody else posted something you think is better.

Woohoo! Nice to see this back up. I will try to post a shot even though I only have access to a less-than-average digital camera and no PS.

I love this idea. It will help motivate me to go out and take pics, along with direction. Will you be coming up with the tasks or alternating between you and another? How will tha work? Just curious.

Right now it's just me. I guess I could work with Xox, although making a task thread is not a particularly difficult task.

I went to town today and took a lot of ok photos. Not of them are particularly spectacular, but I'll put up something a little actiony. Task was harder than I thought. I'll make something that works better for photography next task

"Action" seems kind of vague. So far I've been going with the idea of speed or freezing movement, others seem to be thinking of a "busy" scene.

Action is not so much vague, it simply doesn't work that well for ordinary photography. It can be done though, it's just hard.

I dunno... I think action is a good topic. As opposed to strict themes like "people" or "sunsets' it leaves some room to really explore and be creative.
