      Ancient Mariner

      I was wondering if anyone else had read Samuel Taylor Coleridge's epi, Rime of the Ancient Mariner. It's one of my favorite pieces of poetry. I did some independant study on it when I was in high school, and I was instantly hooked.

      Yes its amazing...Also Iron Maiden wrote a song based loosely on it...Hehe /shrug, who cares about iron maiden? I do! =P

      I've heard that song once or twice. I like what they did. Now that's inspiration!

      I was wondering what anyone who's read the epic thought. Why did the mariner shoot the albatross? He never really gives a reason.
