Nah, it's okay. I really liked yours (thought they actually looked better) but I just decided I'd prefer one I made myself.

Pretty good with the brush usage, but I'd give the image a bit more "something" as well- whether that's more contrast or whatever. That's what I'd do, at least. Still looks pretty cool with just the brushes.

I'd like to say I was keeping it simple, but I really just don't know how to do that sort of stuff

Okay that was pathetically lame.

I just made a few small changes, nothing too drastic. The film appears to have already boosted some contrast and added some other subtle effects to make it look pretty artsy.

Before/after shot:




But yeah, the first and last ones don't have quite the "artsy" feel to them. I'd add fizzazz to those ones.

not bad, Xedan, keep practicing and you could jump up on the shop staff. But remember this isn't the place to show off your work so keep it to a minimum.

Alright guys, I've looked through this thread, and I really like what you've done here! I'm in the market for something new. I've got this avatar and sig as a placeholder for now, it's just a photo I took at the zoo a couple years ago.

I'd like something bold, with subtle but noticeable use of lighting. Warm colors and/or earthen shades are a must. Reds, browns, a bit of yellow would no go amiss. Preferred characters would include Han Solo, Gibbs, Tony, or Ziva (hurr, Ziva ^__^) from the TV show NCIS, or Peter (or Walter, even) Bishop from Fringe, and preferably an explosion of some sort.

For the avatar I'd really like it if the chosen character could seem to be coming out of a sort of slit in the forum background at the bottom, with a transparent background. Not just a square doldrum avatar.

Okay, so I wanted to break in the new brushes on some pictures from "The Book Of Eli" which I just saw. However there are two good pictures and I can't decide which I'd prefer. Opinions please:
