I used to make sigs like 3 years ago and I'm just getting into it again, so here's one i made, if anyone wants it just reply in this thread and i will throw your name on it for you, It was uploaded pretty large so i will make it a little smaller too and if you want i will throw in an avatar from the signiture the girl or robot :)

we use GIMP/PS CS4/Fireworks
GIMP would be a good place for you to start... it's free of course
Excellent thanks. Any tutorials you recommend specifically for making sigs and such? Or at least something that will get me acquainted with the necessary tools?
I just want to give something new a shot, and maybe be able to contribute something of my own down the line.

i was thinking of something that captures the sea, waves, and moonlight, and the moon, and the stars....
maybe like Xedan's combines the two scapes...
i haven't found a better icon for a dreamy nighttime beach girl...

I scrounged a few tutorials together from googling that I will look at on a later occasion. I didn't find any in-depth beginner tutorials for the latest version of GIMP. And thanks for the GIMPology link. I'll check that out later too.

The emanating wave is much better. My picture was just sort of a rough sketch. There's not too much one can do with paint. But this is a better representation of what I think would be best:Quote:

The black bits represent people. The fuzzy black areas are disintegrated bits. The energy hits the first wave of people and disintegrates all of them, and some slips through the cracks in between people and hits the ones behind them, and then more behind those. I'll try to sketch up a better view from the front.
And if you need a model to work with to make a more action-oriented pose for the main figure, you can try Starkiller, from these:

I iSee_iBelieve, am going to join this group; but before I do, I am going to take a stab at the banner for this thread.
